STROUD, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities say a Stroud police officer performing a welfare check found the bodies of two men in a house.
According to Jessica Brown of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, a resident who hadn't seen a neighbor in several days had called police and asked them to check on the neighbor.
Brown says an officer who went out the home Friday looked in the window at the front door and saw what appeared to be a dead body lying on the floor of the living room. She says the officer went to the back of the home and found another dead body.
Brown says investigators believe the men had been at the home for a couple of days because of the condition of the bodies. The deaths are being investigated as homicides.
She says investigators don't know how the men were killed or who they are.
