OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The state Ethics Commission is reprimanding state Representative Mike Shelton for repeated violations of state campaign finance rules.
The five-member commission voted unanimously to publicly reprimand Shelton for violations that include failing to report contributions and expenses in his campaigns for the state House and Senate.
The commission decided not to fine him.
Shelton defeated three challengers in the July 25th primary to win re-election to a second term in the state House.
He says he got behind in finishing reports from his 2004 race for the state House and unsuccessful campaign last year for the state Senate -- but he says the problem is now fixed.
