OXNARD, Calif. (AP) The Dallas Cowboys sign Pro Bowl safety Roy Williams to a 4 year contract extension that runs through the 2010 season.

Williams was the Cowboys' 1st round draft pick from Oklahoma in the 2002 draft after winning the Jim Thorpe Award.

He had 81 tackles, 3 interceptions, 2 1/2 sacks and a touchdown last season.

He had a year left on his contract and would have become an unrestricted free agent after this season, but the new 5 year deal signed yesterday replaces the 2006 year and adds 4 more.
