An investigation is underway into a triple shooting in McIntosh County.

It happened Monday night in Checotah. Investigators say a man with a gun walked up to a group outside a house and started shooting. Someone in the group returned fire, killing the suspect.

Two people were wounded and taken to the Muskogee hospital.

No names have been released.
