CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) -- A Claremore teenager died early Sunday morning from injuries she received in a car accident Saturday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Lacy Layman was pronounced dead Sunday morning at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Layman was westbound on a Rogers County road just before 7 PM Saturday in a 1995 Toyota Celica when the OHP says she failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit broadside by a pickup truck.

The truck slammed into the passenger side door, overturning the vehicle and ejecting Layman from the car.

The driver of the truck refused medical treatment at the scene.
