TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Tulsa junior basketball player Jillian Robbins is named as Conference USA's women's athlete of the year.
Robbins, a 6-foot-1 forward from Spring, Texas, led the Golden Hurricane to a 26-and-6 record and a spot in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
She led Conference USA in scoring at 17.9 points per game and rebounding at 12.8 per game and also led TU in steals and blocked shots.
She recorded 21 double-doubles and received honorable mention on The Associated Press' All-America list.
Robbins is the second Tulsa athlete to receive a conference athlete of the year award. Former Golden Hurricane golfer Stacy Prammanasudh received the Western Athletic Conference's top female award after the 2001-02 school year.
