OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Adam Hyzdu hits a solo home run in the eighth inning to lift the Oklahoma RedHawks to a 2-1 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs.
Hyzdu's home run last night made a winner of Oklahoma reliever C.J. Wilson, who pitched one scoreless inning. Jose Diaz blanked the Zephyrs in the ninth to pick up his second save of the baseball season.
New Orleans broke a scoreless tie in the top of the seventh inning when Bernie Castro's bunt single scored Larry Broadway.
The RedHawks tied the game in the bottom of the inning on consecutive doubles by Aarom Baldiris and Nick Trzesniak.
Hyzdu's decisive homer came off New Orleans reliever Danny Rueckel. Six of Hyzdu's nine home runs this season have either tied the game or given the RedHawks the lead in the fifth inning or later.
