EL RENO, Okla. (AP) _ A second lawsuit claiming excessive force by the El Reno police is being transferred to federal court.

The lawsuit filed by plaintiff Jerry Jenkins in Canadian County District Court names police officer Michael Stilley and the city of El Reno as defendants. Jenkins claims Stilley grabbed him and pushed him into a patrol car and onto the ground during an incident on July 4th, 2005.

Court records show the lawsuit was moved to federal court in Oklahoma City at the request of the defendants' attorneys.

Stilley also is named in a seaparate excessive force lawsuit filed by a Ponca City woman that also was moved to federal court. In that case, Kerri Lou Williams claims Stilley was verbally and physically threatening during a routine traffic stop in December 2004.

Stilley was moved from patrol duty to the investigations unit after the lawsuits were filed.
