OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A 49-year-old man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on multiple counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.

U.S. Attorney John C. Richter says William N. Atkins was indicted by a federal grand jury in Oklahoma City yesterday on eleven counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of distribution of child pornography.

The indictment alleges that Atkins sent and received e-mail images depicting child pornography between May and July last year. It also say his home computer had numerous images of pornography involving young girls on March 1st of this year.

Each of the distribution charges are punishable by up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $250,000. The possession charges carry maximum 10-year prison terms and $250,000 fines.
