Some Tulsa firefighters not only saved his life, now their contributing to his recovery.
15-year-old Jonathan Page got caught up in a current on the Arkansas River last year. When Tulsa firefighters arrived they found him still under water with no pulse. The rescue team was able to pull him to safety and emergency crews administered CPR.
A fire-fighting magazine awarded the firefighters who saved Jonathan. They were featured in Firehouse magazine in April and received a check for $200.
Tulsa Fire District Chief Eddie Bell: "when we received the check we talked to the guys about what they wanted to do with that money and they wanted to give it back to the family."
Jonathan is still recovering from his injuries at his home in Idaho.
