The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality has issued another Ozone Alert Day for both Saturday and Sunday for the Tulsa area..
That makes four days in a row. Officials say the reason for the continuation of the the alert was because of increased levels of ozone and air pollution.
Tulsa residents are encouraged to take public transportation or car pool, gas up motor vehicles in the evening, avoid unnecessary trips and avoid using gas powered machines like lawn mowers.
Ozone also creates health risks, especially for people over 65 or younger than 18, people with illnesses such asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema and those with cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
