One person is injured following a traffic accident Friday morning in Sand Springs.

Around 6:30 AM, a semi truck ran a red light at state Highway 51 and Avery Drive.

Sand Springs Police say the semi struck the passenger side of a car, causing a lot of damage.

A woman in the car complained of shoulder injuries, she was taken to a Tulsa hospital.

A child was in a safety seat in the back and was not hurt.
