SUNRIVER, Ore. (AP) Top-seeded Oklahoma State finishes third in the first round of the NCAA men's golf championship tournament in Sunriver, Oregon.
The Cowboys shot a 7-under to tie with Washington. Wake Forest -- paced by Kyle Reifers -- leads with an 11-under 277, followed by UCLA at 8-under 280 Wednesday.
Reifers shot a 7-under 65 on the par-72, 7,630-yard course. He was followed by OSU's Pablo Martin, who shot a 6-under 66, and USC's Taylor Wood at 6-under.
The nation's top 30 men's Division One golf teams and six individuals whose teams didn't qualify are in the field of 156 players participating in the four-day tournament.
The field will be cut to the top 15 teams and the top six individuals not on qualifying teams for Saturday's final round.
