NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma basketball coach Jeff Capel has completed his staff by hiring former Mississippi coach Rod Barnes and former South Carolina State coach Ben Betts.

Barnes spent eight seasons at Ole Miss and took the Rebels to three NCAA tournaments, but was fired in March after four straight losing seasons.

Betts was at South Carolina State for three seasons and led the Bulldogs to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title in 2004.

Capel earlier brought assistant Mark Cline with him from Virginia Commonwealth and has hired Bucknell assistant Bryan Goodman as director of basketball operations.
