Tulsa Police follow a tip and arrest two people in a series of burglaries. Around midnight, officers responded to an alarm call at a custard shop at 51st and Sheridan. Someone broke in the front door and took the cash box.
A second business was also hit.
Acting on a tip, officers staked out a dumpster near 18th and Cincinnati. While they were there, they saw the suspect throw a register into the dumpster.
They followed him to a nearby apartment. They arrested 40-year-old Michael Cooley. His girlfriend was also arrested for interference.
Officers watched the dumpster because of a tip from employees of Phoenix Cleaners. They discovered a pattern of stolen registers being thrown away in the dumpster in recent weeks.
