Only about 10-percent of Tulsa's population cast ballots in Tuesday’s election, but those who did, voted to renew the Third Penny Sales Tax.
There were two propositions on the ballot. One for $459-million passed by a 68 to 32-percent margin. It would pay for all sorts of roads and flood control projects that aren't included in the regular city budget.
The second question on the ballot is for just over $4-million. The money will pay for new hangars at the airport to be leased to American Airlines. Voters passed that proposal, 61-percent to 39-percent.
