TISHOMINGO, Okla. (AP) -- A 15-year-old Tishomingo teen didn't get the last laugh after he jokingly called 911 and threatened to blow up a local bank if they didn't give him a million dollars.
Police took the juvenile into custody Wednesday after school officials called authorities and said they were holding the boy for making a prank 911 call.
Officers say the five friends the boy was trying to impress with the prank reported him after he made a second call to 911 with the same threat.
Authorities say they evacuated the block where Landmark Bank is located and called the bomb squad.
They say the suspect confessed and was turned over to his grandparents, who will turn him in to the Office of Juvenile Affairs.
