Earth Day was the perfect time to open a new farmers market here in Tulsa. Local folks set up shop near on 71st street between Yale and Sheridan, selling and trading their homegrown goods.
Lucy Bailey's in charge of the event. She says it sure beats a trip to the grocery store. "It's more of a neighborhood, it's the old time fair, being able to get out with everybody in the community and visit and chat, its just relaxed and beautiful out here."
The farmers market will be open saturdays through October, from 7 AM until noon. They're looking for more vendors. If you're interested, you can reach Lucy Bailey at 828-0667.
