CASHION, Okla. (AP) _ A 13-year-old Cashion boy dies last night from injuries sustained in a one-car accident in rural Logan County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Lance W. Beutler of Cashion was a passenger in a car driven by 17-year-old Valerie L. Kadavy of Kingfisher.
Kadavy was driving northbound on a county road when her car ran off the roadway to the right. She overcorrected to the left, then the right, and the car went into a broad slide and struck a tree on the right rear passenger side.
The collision with the tree spun the car around and partially ejected Beutler through the right rear window. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another passenger, 16-year-old Brittany Beutler of Cashion, was mediflighted to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition. Valerie Kadavy and another passenger, 14-year-old Gerald Kadavy of Kingfisher, were treated and released from Oklahoma City hospitals.
