The contractor widening South Yale near 71st Street in Tulsa might be docked almost a million dollars, or nothing at all.

The job was scheduled to be done last November. The contractor, Sherwood Construction, claims problems with utilities in the area delayed the job.

Their contract with the city includes penalties for being late that's added up to $900,000.

The Tulsa city council will consider what to do about the penalty this Thursday.
