OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A measure to outlaw the sale of private cell phone records is one step away from final legislative approval.
The state Senate passed the bill Monday and it now goes to the state House. If it's approved there it would go to Governor Brad Henry.
Senator Randy Bass authored the bill and says there now are no restrictions preventing someone from buying both incoming and outgoing cell phone calls of Oklahomans.
The Lawton Democrat calls that practice outrageous and says that invading the privacy of people should not be as simple as it is now.
