OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A small earthquake was felt in south-central Oklahoma, but there were no reports of damage.
A preliminary report by the US Geological Survey indicated the quake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.0 occurred at 1:45 PM Wednesday and was centered 8 miles southwest of Lone Grove in Carter County.
A number of people placed telephone calls to emergency officials after the quake.
The Oklahoma Geological Survey in Norman also reported receiving telephone calls from people who felt the quake.
A quake of magnitude 2.5-5 to 3 is the smallest generally felt by people.
