Owasso launched a new economic development initiative Wednesday.
Owasso’s city manager, Rodney Ray says he wants area business leaders to help bring 3,000 jobs to town. The jobs aren't exactly on the way just yet, but he hopes collaboration with business recruiters will put Owasso on the map for expansion.
At a Chamber of Commerce lunch Wednesday, he announced his hopes for the future. "I believe this community has everything in place to create those 3000 new jobs and achieve our goal."
The city manager says the next step is to work together with citizens to create a new Owasso that can support the growth he's hoping for.
