STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Adam Carr tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Keanon Simon in the ninth inning, lifting Oklahoma State past Texas A&M 10-9 on Friday night.
Oklahoma State (16-7, 1-3) won its first Big 12 Conference game in four tries, but not before the Cowboys blew a four-run lead in the final three innings.
The Cowboys seized control with a six-run fourth inning, keyed by a two-run single by Shelby Ford. Oklahoma State went ahead 9-5 in the sixth inning when Ty Wright drove in two runs with another single. Wright finished 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
Texas A&M (18-11, 2-5) scored once in the seventh and three times in the eighth, tying the score at 9-9 on Jess Buenger's single.
Carr tripled off A&M pitcher Kyle Thebeau (3-3) to lead off the ninth, and Simon followed with the game-winning fly ball.
Jordy Mercer, the last of Oklahoma State's four pitchers, picked up the win to move to 3-0.
