ENID, Okla. (AP) An Enid woman dies in a collision at a Garfield County intersection.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 69-year-old Elva Marie Becker suffered head and internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident around 1:08 PM yesterday.
Troopers believe Becker's vehicle was headed west on Willow Road as a sport-utility vehicle driven by Candie Linn David was headed north on Oklahoma Highway 132.
The patrol says Becker's vehicle failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the stop sign and collided with David's SUV.
Becker's vehicle ended up in a ditch and she was pinned for about 90 minutes before Lahoma firefighters freed her from the wreckage.
David and her two children sustained minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.
Troopers say Becker wasn't wearing a seat belt.
