There's more legal action in the case of controversial Tulsa teacher, Mark French. You may remember last week, French was fired by the Tulsa School Board, after a 13-year-old girl claimed French grabbed her by the throat and slammed her to the ground.
Now the girl's attorney is taking action against the district. Her legal team claims Tulsa Public Schools knew French had a history of getting physical with students, and didn't provide him the training he needed.
Steve Novick: "They could have provided training to Mr French on how to deal with unruly students, or students who need control and discipline, without using physical force."
The lawyers are asking for $175,000 or the maximum legal limit in damages for what they call the school's negligence.
The school district will only say their lawyers are looking at the claim.
