OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Poultry industry representatives from Oklahoma and Arkansas handed out toy chickens and literature protesting a federal lawsuit brought by Oklahoma Attorney General Drew Edmondson.
The lawsuit accuses 14 poultry companies in Arkansas of polluting Oklahoma streams.
Wednesday's lobbying came just a day after state Senate leadership confirmed it had killed a bill that would've declared that animal waste isn't hazardous material.
