When you first step into the Tie Dyes of Tulsa, you generally have one reaction.
"'Wow,' that the first thing everybody says. Some people are very confused by all the colors," said owner Kelly Killion
An OSU graduate, Killion says she fell into the business that has now become a Tulsa landmark.
"Well I graduated from OSU back in '93 and I didn't want to have a real job so I started my own business making tie dyes," says Killion.
You name it, Kelly's tie dyed it; everything from shirts, jackets, jeans, and even socks. You can also bring items into her store to be costumed tie died. Kelly even holds tie dye parties.
"The tie dye parties you just come in anytime you want and make an appointment. You get to make shirts. We'll put aprons and gloves on everybody 'cause its kinds of a messy business," says Killion.
