The men and women of the 45th Infantry Brigade will be saying goodbye once again to family and friends as they head back to Texas Wednesday morning. The 2,600 soldiers returned home just before Christmas in an effort dubbed "Operation Holiday Homecoming." The soldiers are scheduled to gather Wednesday in McAlester, Oklahoma City and Tulsa for a return trip to Ft. Bliss, Texas.
Once at Fort Bliss, the Oklahoma troops will complete preparations for deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Once in the Middle East, the soldiers will do everything from mounted patrol to security detail.
