for the cake 2 cups all purpose flour 2 cups sugar 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda dash salt 1/2 cup cocoa 1 cup boiling water 1 cup buttermilk 1 cup corn oil 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla
for the frosting 1/2 cup melted butter or oleo 1/2 cup cocoa 1 pound powdered sugar 1 teaspoons vanilla 2 tablespoons milk
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Combine all dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and cocoa) in a medium mixing bowl and set aside 3. Combine all wet ingredients (water, buttermilk, oil, eggs and vanilla) in a large mixing bowl. Add dry ingredient mixture to wet and combine. Pour into a prepared 9x13 baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes. 4. Mix frosting ingredients until smooth with an electric mixer. Cool cake and frost. Enjoy!!
