Best Sugar Cookies

Yield:

5 to 6 dozen

Ingredients:

1 C. sugar
1 C. powdered sugar
2 C. Land O'Lakes butter
2 eggs
4 1/2 C. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:

Combine sugar, powdered sugar, butter and beat well. Add eggs; beat again. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Drop small balls of dough on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten with fork. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes.

For icing:
1 box powdered sugar
1 stick Land O'Lakes butter
1/4 C. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix well and ice cookies.
