A major construction project is underway near East 36th St. and Sheridan.

Union Pacific Railroad is repairing a crossing and the entire road will be closed for the weekend. Work began around midnight on Saturday and will continue until 6 a.m. Sunday.

Detour signs will direct motorists to South Memorial Drive through traffic between East 31st Street and East 41st Street.
