After the first confirmed case of COVID-19 was announced two days ago in Tulsa County, officials are doing everything they can to pass along their knowledge of the virus as well as tips to protect yourself against it.
Test kits will be able to be processed at the state's public health laboratory in Oklahoma City this week.
"We all worked together in a bipartisan, bicameral way to pass $8.3 billion of funding to respond to COVID-19 and the coronavirus just this past week," U.S. Rep. Kendra Horn said. "It's going to go to places like city and county health department, state and local agencies and individuals. It also has a big portion of funding for vaccine development and test kits."
Horn also said this is not a time to panic but a time to be aware.
