COVID-19 is impacting upcoming elections that were originally scheduled for April 7.
The Oklahoma State Election Board declared an emergency on March 18th, which led to the postponement of elections in 74 counties until the end of June.
Here are just some of the elections that are impacted and will re-set for June 30th.
- Bond elections for Mid-Del, Mustang, and Bethany school districts.
- A city council vote for The Village, Piedmont, and Norman.
- Some elections in Moore, Putnam City, and Luther will also be postponed.
The state election board said June 30 is the next available election date. It also said it will continue to update the list of elections on their website as local governments reschedule them.
