The Oklahoma Department of Corrections now says two prisoner-on-prisoner assaults from over the weekend were likely gang-related.

Both of the incidents happened on Sunday, one at the Lawton Corrections Facility and one a few hours later at the North Fork Correctional Center in Sayre. An ongoing investigation was launched and has found the two were likely related and the result of gang tensions.

Several inmates have been identified in the Sayre fight and taken to the maximum security Oklahoma State Penitentiary. On Tuesday, agents will continue interviewing prisoners and reviewing surveillance video to identify those involved in the assault at LCF.
