Police: Suspect In Fatal Owasso Shooting In Custody

Owasso Police confirm one person is dead after a shooting near 116th Street North and 97th East Avenue in Owasso.<br/>

Owasso Police say they have a suspect in custody in connection to a deadly shooting near HIGHWAY 20 and 145th east Avenue.

Police arrested 20-year-old Micah Turner after officers say he shot his mother's ex-boyfriend.

Police say when they got to the house late Monday night they found the 46-year-old victim shot. They say he was taken to the hospital where he died about two hours later.

Police say the victim lived in the family's garage and that the family tried to evict him but he wouldn't leave. Officers say Turner told them the victim threatened his mom and claimed he stole all their guns except for the one Turner shot him with.

When police arrived at the house, they say Turner was giving the victim CPR. Turner later told investigators he had no plans of actually firing the gun.

He's currently being held in the Rogers County Jail.
