A Tulsa man was arrested in California in connection with a murder.

Authorities say Calvin Pittman, who is from Tulsa, was booked into jail for murder.

San Bernardino County Deputies tell the CBS station in L.A. that Pittman and a female suspect had an infant in a stroller when they went into a Victorville, California motel room on Monday and assaulted and robbed two men before leaving in one of the victim’s rental car.

Deputies found one of the victims unresponsive on the floor of the motel, and he later died at the hospital.

Deputies say an officer with the California Highway Patrol saw the bodies of the female suspect and infant on a highway after they were the victims of a hit-and-run.

At that same scene, officers say they saw the stolen rental car from the motel in a nearby ditch, and Pittman was found walking a mile down the road.

It’s not clear why Pittman was in California at the time.
