OHP Investigating Keystone Lake Drowning Involving UTV

According to authorities, one occupant of an utility vehicle was pronounced dead after the person drowned and CPR attempts were unsuccessful.

The person died just after 5 p.m. Sunday at Keystone Lake in Pawnee County.

The accident happened when four people were riding on a UTV and the vehicle cashed into Appalachia Bay.

Two riders were unharmed in the accident. One rider was able to be cut free and is reportedly "fine," authorities said.

The final rider was under the water for too long. The vehicle was cut in order to administer CPR, but the rider could not be resuscitated.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the UTV's crash into the water.

The victim's identity is not known at this time.
