Tulsa Firefighters Rescue Man Who Was Stuck In A Tree For 9 Hours

Tulsa Firefighters rescued a man who was stuck in a tree for more than nine hours on Sunday.

They say the man climbed up about 15 feet and got stuck between two branches. A bicyclist heard his calls for help. Firefighters say they had to get creative to help the man down.

"Being that it was so far off the road we couldn't use our bucket to rescue him so we had to bring down a 24 foot extension and a 35 foot extension ladder and latch them together in like a V formation," said Captain Michael Burgess.

No word on why the man was in the tree or whether he was hurt.
