BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

Broken Arrow Police say a man is dead after he tried to break into a home.

Officers say they were called to a home near East Quinton and 131st St S. For a reported first-degree burglary around 10:30 Saturday night. On the way to the call, officers say they found out someone inside the home shot a suspect and that witnesses say another suspect ran off. Detectives called in K-9 units and a Tulsa Police helicopter was used to search for the other suspect but they have not been found at this time.

Broken Arrow Police say this isn't the first time that they have responded to this home for a burglary call.

"Recently within the last three weeks we've had one reported burglary here also um, and they are working to figure out if they are related," said BAPD Officer Chris Walker.

Police say they don't know if the second suspect left on foot or in a car and say more people may have been involved.
