Tulsa police said they ended a chase with a suspect who stole an officer’s patrol car.
Officers said it started when they responded to a reported burglary at a Dollar Tree near 71st and Mingo.
They said when they got there and started to look for the suspect, the man jumped into one of their cruisers and sped off.
Police said he got onto Highway 169 and then on the Creek Turnpike and headed toward Jenks.
They said the chase ended when the driver crashed the cruiser into a curb, which disabled the vehicle.
Officers then arrested him near 96th and Riverside.
Police said there was a service weapon inside the cruiser, but it was secured, and the man wasn't able to use it.
No one was hurt.
