A man drowned at Keystone Lake on Tuesday, reported the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Marine Enforcement Section and Army Corps of Engineers.

Officers said Jerrel W. Warrick of Oklahoma City was tossing an anchor into the water and fell out of the boat. They said Warrick went under the water in his efforts to use the rope to stay afloat and failed to resurface.

Mercy EMS and Peninsula Fire Department were also on the scene. Warrick was pronounced dead at the scene by Mercy EMS.
