The funeral for fallen Tulsa Police Sergeant Craig Johnson is set for the afternoon of July 9 at Victory Christian Church.
Johnson will be laid to rest with full honors by the Tulsa Police Honor Guard and Tulsa Police Piped and Drums. The service is set for 1 p.m.
Johnson was shot during a traffic stop last week where he later died at a hospital. Another officer was also shot and is still in a hospital.
The ceremony is open to the public, but the family has asked for the service not to be live streamed. If you wish to attend, a mask will be provided at the door.
The family has also asked the public not to send flowers but to consider donating to the Tulsa Police Memorial.
Johnson spent 15 years with the department and was presented the Tulsa Police Department Purple Heart.
Governor Kevin Stitt also signed an executive order for flags to fly at half staff to honor Johnson.
