The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission is bringing its in-person claims processing events to Tulsa this week.
OESC agents hold the events on the lower level of the River Spirit Expo at the Tulsa State Fairgrounds from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
There's been such a demand for the events the agency had to add two more events in Midwest City after holding four others.
Monday and Tuesday the OESC will hold the additional events at the Reed Convention Center, but both events are already full and agents won’t see anyone without a ticket.
The OESC Interim Director says many of the people being seen by agents have never filed for unemployment before. They're needing help with everything from getting benefits, to unemployment fraud to back claims.
People can start lining up for the Tulsa events Wednesday and Thursday at 6:00 a.m. The first 400 people will get a ticket to be seen that day. The remaining will get "front of the line" passes for Thursday.
There's no word on if the agency plans to add more Tulsa dates.
