61 cadets graduated on Thursday as part of the 66th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy.
The cadets went through 20 weeks of intense training, including de-escalation tactics, use of force and communication skills. Part of the academy was done remotely because of COVID-19 concerns.
The closed graduation ceremony was held Thursday morning in Oklahoma City.
OHP said there are 5 legacies that graduated with the academy. 4 of them have fathers who were or are currently troopers and one of them has both a father and grandfather who were state troopers.
