The attorney for a former officer accused of killing the Mannford Police Chief has asked a judge to consider bail and for a cell phone video that he believes will show Mike Nealey is innocent.
Nealey is charged with the murder of his boss, Chief Lucky Miller, while the 2 men were at a police training seminar in Pensacola, Florida in November.

Nealey’s lawyer argues he should get bond for medical reasons, as Nealy has a kidney stone, a kidney infection, COVID-19 and has asthma.
Documents also said that the attorney is asking for a video they said Miller shot and sent to his wife the night Miller was killed that shows Nealey asleep. They think this could prove he didn’t have criminal intent.
Documents said both men were heavily intoxicated that night, as Miller’s blood alcohol content at 0.29 and Nealey’s at 0.33.
Nealey has a court hearing on Thursday, July 30.
