Tulsa Police Make Youthful Offender Arrest After Armed Robbery Attempt At Edenwood Apartments

Tulsa police say a suspect is in custody after he pointed a gun at a woman at the Edenwood Apartments on Saturday.

According to police, Edward Xavier James Townsell attempted to rob a woman at gunpoint before fleeing on foot. Police say the victim was able to identify the types of guns the suspect was holding as a Draco and a Glock. An officer spotted Townsell near 800 E Virgin St and conducted a pedestrian check. Officers say a Draco AK-style pistol and a Glock 9mm were found on Townsell and he was taken into custody.

Police say that the victim did not want to press charges, but Townsell was arrested and booked as a Youthful Offender in possession of a firearm.
