After being medically discharged from the Air Force in 2001, a veteran who lives in Oklahoma City started giving back something good to other veterans.

Over the past three years, Kris Morgan has made hundreds of wooden American flags free of charge and given them to veterans in all 50 states. He said making the flags got him through a long period of depression and anxiety and hopes getting the flags will do the same for others.

“Figured out working on these flags, I don’t think about the inner demons, I don’t think about the depression, the anxiety,” Morgan said.
