Oklahoma’s leaders said new parking fees at state parks are already helping make all of the parks better.

The state started requiring fees a couple months ago, where visitors, except for veterans and people 62 and older, pay per car.

Oklahoma's leaders said these fees are typical in other neighboring states like Texas and Kansas.

The revenue goes back into projects where the state believes it's needed.
