The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says an early morning car chase ended with a suspect and an innocent victim the hospital.
Troopers say they first tried to pull over 25-year-old Jerome Monroe’s car near I-244 and Yale because of an altered paper tag. OHP says Monroe wouldn't stop and kept driving north on Yale. They say the chase came to a stop near Pine and Peoria when Monroe crashed into a red Chevy Camaro.
OHP says Monroe then tried to run away but was quickly caught and taken into custody before being taken to a hospital for treatment. OHP says the Buick was reported stolen and they found drugs in the car. They also say Monroe had warrants out for his arrest.
Troopers say the driver of the red car was taken to the hospital but is expected to be fine.
